This creamy mint yogurt sauce is cool, tangy, and herbaceous—perfect for balancing rich or spiced dishes. Made with just a handful of fresh ingredients, it’s quick to whip up and endlessly versatile. Whether you’re serving it with lamb meatballs, grilled veggies, or as a dip with warm pita, this sauce brings a refreshing contrast that brightens every bite.

Mint yogurt sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain yogurt

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated or minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: Add a touch of honey or a pinch of cayenne for contrast

Preparation:

  1. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and mint.

  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Optional: Add a touch of honey or a pinch of cayenne for contrast.

  3. Chill until ready to serve.

Serving Suggestions:

  • As a dip for fresh vegetables, roasted sweet potatoes, or pita chips.

  • With grilled meats like lamb, chicken, or kofta skewers.

  • Make it spicy with a pinch of cayenne or a swirl of harissa.

  • Add sweetness with a touch of honey (great if pairing with spicy dishes!)

  • Thin it out with a bit of water or lemon juice to use as a salad dressing.
