Golden, flaky, and packed with savory goodness, these homemade sausage rolls are a simple yet irresistible treat. Using just a few ingredients, this recipe delivers a satisfying bite every time. Whether served as a party appetizer, game-day snack, or quick meal, these sausage rolls are guaranteed to disappear fast.

Ingredients:
2 raw sausage links*
1 sheet puff pastry
1 egg, beaten
Poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Preparation:
Remove the puff pastry from the freezer and let it thaw completely.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Once thawed, gently roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into three equal strips.
Remove the casing from the sausage links and divide the meat into three equal portions.
Shape each portion into a log and place it along the long edge of a puff pastry strip. Roll the pastry around the sausage, sealing the seam.
Slice each roll into six equal pieces, similar to cutting a sushi roll.
Arrange the sausage rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, seam side down.
Brush the tops with the beaten egg, then sprinkle with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or everything bagel seasoning, if using.
Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Serve warm with homemade honey mustard or a creamy mustard sauce for dipping.
*Notes and suggestions:
You can use any type of raw sausage for this recipe. For a more traditional sausage roll, bratwurst or kielbasa work well. Experiment with different flavors to find your favorite!
